Barbara

Barbara is 60 years old. She has custody of 5 children—two sets of twin girls and one boy.Her granddaughters are Makiya and Aniya, age 5, and her nieces are Heaven and Angel, age 6. Her grandson, Glenn, is 11. Barbara is the widow of a United States Veteran.
She heard about Habitat through some family members—one family member is Kendria, who bought her Habitat home in Newburg last year. Barbara would like to build her home near Madison and Vermont, where we finished the 300th Habitat home last year, and are currently building another.
She wants to be a homeowner because no one in her immediate family has ever owned their own home. She’d like to achieve this for herself and for her children, and show her children that she did this for them. She’d like to leave them a legacy and she wants them to be proud of her.
