Construction Volunteers Individual volunteers need to attend a volunteer orientation before volunteering with Habitat. These are held every other month. See above for how to register.

Volunteer once or regularly.
We work on construction sites year round, Wednesday through Saturday 8:30a.m. – 3:30p.m.
Volunteers report to our construction center at 1631 Rowan Street at 8:30 a.m.
Construction Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.
You may volunteer for new construction or rehabilitation projects.
All volunteers are required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability Form. A parent or legal guardian’s signature is required if the volunteer is under 18 years of age.
You may bring your own tools although it isn’t necessary, please label them if you do.
From time to time, we also use DeConstruction Volunteers to go into buildings and remove items that can be sold in ReStore to help create a sustainable income for Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville. No construction experience is necessary, but you must be able to do physical activity and follow directions.
Other Volunteer Opportunities:
Habitat ReStore is a thrift store selling new and gently used building materials, furniture, tools and appliances. Customer service volunteers are the life-blood of the store – helping customers with questions throughout the store, tagging sold items or pricing new merchandise.
Office Support Volunteers:
Office support volunteers assist with answering the phones, mailings, data entry, filing and various other administrative projects.
Budget tutors work with partner families in teaching basic money management. Training is provided and a 10 week commitment is required.
Volunteers create and plan special events to raise funds for our mission, recruit additional volunteers and increase community awareness.
